Our award-winning lamb pies are handmade and baked fresh every day in our North Yorkshire bakery, bringing together generations of Thornton family baking and butchery expertise. We use home-reared lamb from the Thornton family farm in Oldstead, where the flock is raised on pastures overlooking Byland Abbey with care and attention to high welfare standards. Our skilled butchers prepare the lamb in-house, ensuring quality and consistency before it is combined with carefully selected ingredients and encased in handcrafted pastry. Every pie is prepared, filled and baked under one roof, guaranteeing exceptional freshness and flavour. This commitment to provenance, craftsmanship and traditional Yorkshire food production has earned recognition at the British Pie Awards, creating pies that are a true reflection of our farm-to-bakery heritage.
